Property worth millions lost as huge fire razes Toi Market in Kibera

A section of Toi Market in Kibera, Nairobi has been razed by huge fire. The market is located about 7 kilometers from the Country’ Capital.

It has been reported that the flames broke out at 3am on Tuesday and by 6am, they had reduced to ashes property worth millions of shillings.

The Nairobi City County fire brigade is on the scene.

The cause of the fire however remains unknown.

This comes barely weeks after another fire razed down a section of Kangemi, which came barely months after fire razing down Gikomba market again.

The fire incidents have continued to be witnessed in Nairobi’s markets, with Gikomba being the most affected, witnessing fires almost every year since the year 2012.
