The National Super Alliance Members of the County assembly have no put the blame on Deputy President William Ruto over the divisions in the county assembly.
According to the Minority leader Elias Otieno and Minority Whip Peter Imwatok the DP was using some members in the Jubilee party to fight the handshake.
This comes three days after a section of Jubilee MCAs led by Waithaka MCA Antony Kiragu condemned NASA leader Raila Odinga on his remarks against Ruto in the recent Devolution Conference.
Addressing the media at City Hall on Monday evening, Imwatok pointed a finger at Waithaka MCA Kiragu and a few MCAs allies to Ruto of fighting the war against graft.
“Efforts are being put to sort out corruption in Kenya but it has come to our attention that a section of Jubilee MCAs allied to the DP are using his name to source money from their party leaders and also bring disunity in the assembly,” Imwatok said.
“We do not have a problem with the DP but we will not entertain anyone throwing verbal attacks to Raila for personal gain.
Otieno further accused the same Jubilee legislators of undermining the handshake.
“If your against the handshake you are an enemy of development. It is only the enemies of development that would rejoice when the country is in chaos,” he said.
