Manchester United are not interested in Philippe Coutinho, as they are keeping tabs on Jadon Sancho, the 18-year-oldBorussia Dortmund winger who is setting the Bundesliga ablaze. The Independent consider the pursue real as the young Englishman ‘fits the profile’. United are reportedly ready to make a move of over £80m in the summer.
As for Philippe Coutinho, he is not on the club’s radar. That was reported by the Spanish press and The Sunday Mirror that the struggling Brazilian would love to leave Barcelona for the Premier League with Manchester United being among the possible destinations.
‘Intermediaries’ have contacted Man United and told The Independent that Coutinho, 26, is not a target as the club do not prioritise this position on the pitch.
Back to Sancho, Borussia Dortmund will certainly not let their young star leave on the cheap, although he is still probably cheaper than what the Blaugrana would demand for Coutinho. The Germans sold Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona for over £100m in the summer of 2017 having bought the Frenchman for one tenth of the sum a year before.
This season the 18-year-old attacker has already played 34 games (over 2,200 minutes) scoring 9 goals and making 15 assists.
