The Champions League round of sixteen resumes tonight with two blockbuster matches. Juventus will host Spanish club Atletico Madrid while Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City welcome German giants schalke at the Etihad Stadium. Here we look at the likely outcomes for both matches.

Juventus-Atletico Madrid

Diego Simeone’s side ran out comfortable 2-0 victors in the first leg and to on the balance of play should have scored more. Juventus already know what they have to do, attack from the onset if they are to have any hopes of making it to the next round. Diego Simeone’s side however are the masters of defensive football and will be happy to sit back an absorb pressure while hitting their opponents on the counter. The Italians look shaky defensively and with the likes of Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa among their opponents tonight, a clean sheet seems unlikely from them.

TIP: Both teams to score @ 2.15

Manchester City-Schalke

Raheem Sterling scored a late third in the first leg to help Manchester City edge the match 3-2. The Germans have been very poor away from home and anything other than a win for Manchester City would be a surprise. The hosts ruthlessness in front of goal should see the score a couple of goals tonight, especially in front of their home fans.

TIP: Home team to score over 3.5 goals @2.55
