Mason Greenwood is a name on every Man United fan’s lips but it’s not just us Reds who track the progress of the 17-year-old striker.
The Daily Mail report that Man City attacker Raheem Sterling was one of those who encouraged Greenwood as the last week was special for the youngster. He made his Champions League and Premier League debuts within a few days.
It is said that Greenwood merely replied with the word ‘idol‘ to Sterling’s words of encouragement. Raheem is indeed an example for many English kids breaking through.
As for Greenwood, he could expect to be more involved with the first team. This season with the youth teams he has already netted 26 goals on 25 outings.
His mates Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes, and James Garner have also been part of the first team lately as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was anxious to give each of them their debuts in various tournaments.
