As we all know, Alexis Sanchez’s Manchester United struggles have been evident. The 30-year-old Chilean hasn’t been able to assert himself as a Red Devil – which is worrying given he has been at the club for over a year now.
It does make you wonder whether United would be smart to cash in on the ex-Arsenal man sooner rather than later, now, The Sun
Their report says that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Sanchez’s future lies elsewhere, but his huge wages may prove a struggle to move off the books. Heck, why would he want to reduce his weekly pay if he doesn’t have to?
United only have themselves to blame. They made the decision to pay him a massive sum of money, and although everyone expected a bigger impact from him, it’s the club’s own fault.
Sanchez hasn’t been helped by injuries whatsoever, but perhaps he’s at that point where a fresh start is an absolute must. Maybe he’ll go elsewhere for a season, then come back feeling rejuvenated and ready to go. By that point, though, his career will only be heading one way as age will begin to creep up on him.
