Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Monday offered a Ksh 100,000 bounty for any information leading to arrest of a woman who strangled and dumped her infant at Mukuru Kwa Reuben slum.
Photos shared by Sonko showed the boy who appeared to be days old with a rope tied around her neck. the baby was taken to a nearby clinic for first aid.
The Governor was saddened by the act and ask followers to pray for the child to survive and luckily he is safe and sound.
Nairobi County Communication Director, Elkana Jacob, revealed that the police caught up with the mother and another woman who helped her in dumping the baby.
