The Manchester United stumble has brought up an awakening in the Premier League and the club as a whole considering that they had gone for 18 games without conceding a loose less for the one under the hands of PSG in the UEFA Champions League.Arsenal home win revived memories ofhow it feels to be defeated.
Mesut Ozil has hit back at Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard following Arsenal’s victory on Sunday afternoon.
The German playmaker put in an impressive performance as Unai Emery’s side secured a crucial 2-0 victory over United at the Emirates stadium in the Premier League.
Goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured the three points for Arsenal as they leapfrogged United to move back up to fourth place in the league.
As expected Arsenal players absolutely loved the match, and after the game Ozil took to Twitter to hit back at a previous upload from Lingard following a match between the two sides.
Last season Lingard performed the ‘Milly Rock’ dance celebration after scoring away against Arsenal, and he produced another dance move when the two teams met earlier in the year.
Lingard scored a goal against Arsenal during the FA Cup encounter in January and celebrated his composed effort by running off into the corner of the pitch and treating the Emirates crowd to a rendition of the Moonwalk.
Following that strike the 26-year-old uploaded a picture of his celebration to Instagram and cheekily added the location as ‘Dance floor’ to commemorate his two strikes.
However, Ozil hit back at these tweets as he mocked Lingard with a tweet of his own following Arsenal’s win on Sunday afternoon.
“Dancefloor huh!?,” Ozil posted on his Twitter account.
“Superb performance! Brilliant result! Thank you Emirates Stadium! Proud to be a Gunner!”
