Ural Airlines makes an emergency landing over bomb allegations


A Russian Ural Airlines plane has made an emergency landing after the pilot was told there was a bomb on board, say reports.

The plane made the emergency landing in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, Reuters reports, citing local media. Reports say Baku Airport’s press service said the flight had made a safe landing with at least 225 on board.

This happens a few days after the ill fate Ethiopian airline crash which took the lives of 157 people on board.

An Airfrance also on Sunday was forced to fly back to Abdjan after the engine was reported faulty and had 500 people on board.

The airport’s press service was quoted as saying the Ural Airlines passenger plane was bound for Moscow when it made the emergency landing in Baku.

Local media reported no such device had been found in the plane following the emergency landing.
