China’s aviation regulator on Monday grounded nearly 100 Boeing Co 737 MAX 8 aircraft operated by its airlines, more than a quarter of the global fleet of the jets, after a deadly crash of one of the planes in Ethiopia.

Ethiopia Airlines announced they had grounded all Boeing 737-8 Max aircraft on Monday, as they marked a national day of mourning.

It was the second incident involving a 737 Max 8 in recent months, following on from the Indonesia Lion Air flight that crashed after take-off from Jakarta in October, killing all 189 people on board.
