The Top 100 Most Influential Students in Kenya 2018/2019 list is out.

Comedian and Viner Seth Gor made it to the top of the list. The list is made up of an interesting bunch of scholars including artists, creatives, student leaders, event organizers, models, bloggers, and social media influencers.

The list was curated from a compilation of responses from correspondents in different universities as well as online searches. The students include those who completed campus in 2018 and those who are on campus in 2019.
Towett Ng’etich, who was one of the recipients of the 2017 Queen’s Young Leadership Award, also makes a notable feature on the list. Beauty and lifestyle vlogger Maxine Wabosha is seventh the list, doing her part in influencing young people to go out and be their best selves. Mr. USIU-Africa 2018 Tonny Bach also made the cut at 76th place.

Ferdinand Muganda, who is an events’ organizer in Moi University, was part of the team that compiled the list. He spoke to The Sauce saying, “We have been working on coming up with a list of the most influential university students in the country across various fields. It has been hectic because we didn’t have enough resources and manpower but we managed to come up with an exhaustive list after research that might have stretched to a year.”

Some of the factors that went into deciding on who made the cut were issues to do with the social reach of the student, the positive impact they have had in society and whether they regularly capture the attention of students and other national decision-makers.
