Forget About Sonko’s Lion, Here is the Naivasha Leopard Haunting Residents

Residents of Ihundu village in Naivasha East are accusing the Kenya Wildlife Service of laxity in capturing a stray leopard that has invaded their homes mauling over 50 sheep and goats.

For over a month now residents of Ihundu village in Naivasha have been living in fear, following the invasion of their space by suspected stray leopards.

The leopard leaving behind a trail of destruction with 50 sheep and goats mauled.

In the latest incident, the leopard attacked one of the homes on two consecutive days killing six sheep and wounding others.

Affected residents are demanding compensation and warn the human-wildlife conflict could worsen.

The residents now fear for their safety and that of their school-going children.
