EX- DPP quits Noordin Haji’s team of prosecutors

Special prosecutor Philip Murgorhas call it quits to DPP Noordin Haji’s team for what he said is unfair contracts.

Since assuming the role in January 16 219, the lawyer disclosed that Haji had not assigned him any case. 

“Following the formal gazetting of my appointment, I have not been assigned any case at all,” Murgor told Nation.

Murgor in 2018 declared to run for the presidency but later quit for what he termed as a skewed process, negative tribalism and lack of security are the top reasons behind his move.

“As individuals, Haji and Kinoti are great guys, but the enabling environment has not been created for a senior and experienced advocate, who has plenty of choice, to be a standby prosecutor,” Murgor added.
