Apparently, the past is gone and , it is no longer up to the man to pop the big question, this was after a video was shared on social media showing Sikilelo taking the random decision
The hilarious event took place while Maki and her boyfriend, Thabang, wh queued for food at the Uyethu Mall, South Africa.
According to Thabang, he thought his girlfriend was joking, since they often made prank videos, but she started to cry and upon seeing real tears, he realized she was serious.
Reports indicate that the couple has been dating for two months only, but Maki said she could not wait for Thabang to propose.
South Africans found the video entertaining but they were confused about how the couple plans to move forward – who is responsible for bride price now? “That means she is going to pay her own bride price or she is going to pay for the guy,” Thembi Xakaza commented.
“He said Yes! Who’s going to pay the bride price?” Jista Geepee added
“U propose, u pay the bride price..simple,” Ivy Maqoane wrote.
Social media user, George Harvey, believes the proposal was just an act to score free food.
