DPP HAJI DAM STATEMENT
A statement released on Friday evening raised concern over the high number of government officials linked to the dams saga
“I have also noted the shocking magnitude of the amounts involved and the range of parties that are of interest to the investigations which in turn guarantee that the investigations themselves are of necessity complex and cover a wide range of areas,” Haji announced.
The country’s top prosecutor added that Ksh.65billion was allocated to Arror and Kimwarer dams . Haji described graft evidence emerging in the construction of the Kimwarer and Arror dams as shocking.
DPP Haji and Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti revealed that four other dams are under investigations.They are Itare, Embotut, Lower Turkwel Irigation Scheme and Napuu II Irrigation Project.
Haji said the probe also involves asset recovery that may have been acquired through proceeds of crime.
OFFICERS BUSTED STEALING CONFISCATED Heroin
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has released photos of two police officers who were captured on CCTV footage stealing narcotics worth millions of shillings.
The two who have been identified as Cpl. Alloys Onyango and Constable Arbanus Mutunga stole over 25 kilograms of heroin which had been confiscated from drug traffickers.
The DCI said that the two officers were arrested by Serious Crime Detectives.
JKIA LAND COMPENSATION

KAA has rejected the family’s claim to more than half the land JKIA sits on, saying the government had compulsorily acquired the 27 parcels measuring 2,694 hectares (6,736.925 acres) in 1968. The aviation authority is the registered owner of Land Reference Number 21919 contained in Grant Number IR 70118 which was issued on July 26, 1996 and which measures 4,674.60 hectares (11,679 acres).
The National Lands Commission (NLC) has recommended that the family of the late Beatrice Syokau Kathumba, be compensated for 50.2 acres of JKIA land, which is worth billions of shillings.
“The family of the late John Makuthi Kathumba who laid a claim on parcel LR No. 7075/3 within the JKIA land should be compensated on basis of a valid squatter claim on the land,” the NLC’s recommendation read.
Syokau’s daughters, Litha Kathumba and Amina Mbula had waged a spirited battle in court and before the NLC in a bid to regain their land, which they claimed was part of their inheritance.
COLD RAPIST HUSBAND
Sally Chelimo (not her real name) is crying for justice after her three daughters aged between 7 and 14 years were raped severally by their father.

Residents led by the local chief said the man used to share a bed with his daughters.
He said since the man divorced his two previous wives, he has become hostile in the community and even walks around with a panga threatening to kill every person he spots walking around or talking to his current wife.
Police are currently pursuing the suspect who fled away after he realised the police are searching for him.
“He will run but not hide, we will catch up with him to face the full force of the law,” Baringo North OCPD Chemongis Ndiema said.
