Sergio Ramos Told Real Madrid Players THIS During Crunch Talks After Furious Perez Bust-Up

The club is currently engulfed in a crisis after crashing out of the title race, Copa del Rey and Champions League within the space of a week.

Firstly, they were thrashed 3-0 by Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg and then failed to earn revenge when they were beaten 1-0 by the Catalans in league action at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend.

Things got even worse though in midweek when Ajax thumped them 4-1 on one of the worst nights in the club’s history.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and president Florentino Perez held ‘fiery talks’ in the dressing room after the defeat.

Perez told the players that they were to blame for the wretched run of results.

Yet Ramos defended the player’s corner by stating he warned him of the consequences of not signing a goalscoring forward.

The president then reportedly threatened to sell Ramos who replied by stating he could leave the Bernabeu with his head held high should he be willing to pay off his contract.

The Spanish international was suspended for the match after picking up a yellow card at the Johan Cruyff Arena, something he later admitted was tactical resulting in an extra match ban by UEFA.

Cadena Cope’s El Partidazo have now claimed that Ramos took it upon himself to hold a meeting with the players to issue a rallying cry, and Marca have also confirmed the reports.

No members of the Real Madrid staff are said to have been present as Ramos looked to drive home his message.

He told his team-mates that they must pick themselves up and focus on every match before the end of the season.

His voice was reportedly raised throughout the duration of the speech as he looked to get a response from his fellow stars.

There was only one interruption which came from isolated midfielder Isco.

The 26-year-old apologised for not travelling with the squad from Valdebebas to the Bernabeu after not being named in the 18-man match day squad.

Santiago Solari’s future at the club is looking rather bleak as Perez is preparing a reunion with Jose Mourinho.

The Argentine is still expected to be in the hot-seat for the visit to Valladolid at the weekend but could go before the end of the season.
