The Brazillian now in his 13th season with Los Blancos, Marcelo has been frozen out of the first-team picture, with Santiago Solari preferring youngster Sergio Reguilon on the left side of his backline.

Having long been linked with the Bianconeri, Italian daily La Stampa say Marcelo has agreed to sign a four-year contract at Juventus and will earn €12 million euros a season.

A move to Juve would see Marcelo linking up with Cristiano Ronaldo, who he formed a special relationship with during their nine years together at the Santiago Bernabeu.

In fact, five-time Ballon d’Or Ronaldo trusted Marcelo enough to tell him a secret ahead of last season’s Champions League final against Liverpool.

Ronaldo told the Real Madrid No.12 about his future plans, specifically that he would be heading to Juventus.

“Damn, we were training for the final and he told me: ‘I’m leaving,'” Marcelo told Esporte Interativo (via Football Espana).

“I realise that I have lied to you about this before, but that is because I had to.

“Juventus move? They are a great club, but I have a contract with Real Madrid.”

Marcelo signed a new contact with Real until 2022 in September 2017 but his situation has changed dramatically since then

In February, it was reported that he spoke with general director Jose Angel Sanchez for an hour and brought up his lack of game-time of late.

And having been left out of Tite’s Brazil squad, the 30-year old told Sanchez of his unhappiness and revealed he was thinking about leaving the club in the summer wind.

Spanish Madrid midfielder Isco is also set for Turin in the coming summer transfer.

Isco considers that his time at Real Madrid is coming to end, he is out of favour under Solari, which has brought the situation to a head.

It’s claimed Isco has instructed his entourage to make contact with Juventus and Manchester City over a potential move.
