Elections governing body IEBC has cleared five contenders to challenge
The hopefuls incorporate Ahmed Kolosh (Jubilee) Ibrahim Mohamud (KANU), Mohamed Yussuf (ODM) Ali Noor Abdi (LPK) and Abbas Nunow (AGANO).
The seat fell empty after the Supreme Court invalidated the winning of Mohamed Kolosh in January.
Administrator Wafula Chebukati January 4 disclosed to Political Parties aiming to take part to present the names of their competitors and the date of the primaries at the very latest February, 11.
Chebukati further said an open officer who plans to challenge must leave from civil service inside seven (7) days of the announcement.
The Iebc boss said competitors proposing to take an interest in the election without parties.
