Governors to get boost for Big Four

The National Treasury

County bosses will from July one year from now get extra money over the ordinary allotments from the Treasury to cater for Uhuru’s Big-four.

The governors achieved an arrangement with the Ministry of Devolution and the Senate to get more money amid the week-long yearly Devolution Conference which finished Thursday in Kirinyaga.

One of the objectives entrusted the counties, the Treasury, Parliament and the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) to take a shot at modalities which will see the proposed money incorporated into the financial plan for the year beginning July 2020.

“Since the Big Four Agenda centers around four regressed capacities, the national government will, in the following spending cycle, allot assets to encourage area governments’ help for the execution of the Big Four Agenda,” said a report from the Sixth Devolution Conference.
