See How Pogba and Lukaku Shames Rumourmongers of Their Rift

Manchester United stars Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku have quashed rumours of a rift between the two after the television cameras picked up an occasion of camaraderie between the Red Devils star following their 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the UEFA Champions League 2018-19.

United went into the game with a 2-0 deficit from the first leg, but a second half stoppage time penalty by Marcus Rashford helped them record a 3-1 victory at the Parc des Princes in Paris that also ensured their progress to the quarterfinals in Europe on away goals.

However, one scene that was drowned out during all the post-match celebrations in France was the interaction between French midfielder Pogba and Belgium striker Lukaku who were reportedly falling apart at Old Trafford.

The Sun had reported that Pogba and Lukaku were on collision course after United’s 3-2 win over Southampton in the Premier League earlier this week.

Lukaku had struck twice to help give United a 3-2 lead at Old Trafford on Saturday when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were awarded a late penalty. Lukaku was on a hattrick when Untied were awarded a penalty against the Saints, but was Pogba who stepped up to take it and saw his effort saved by Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

The British tabloid had claimed that United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer had to calm down the duo when the tension escalated after the game.

However, the duo showed that their friendship is still strong after hugging each other following the game. Pogba was suspended for the game, but had travelled to his home nation to watch the game and came down to the pitch where he embraced his United teammate and making it clear that the penalty episode is firmly behind them now!
