What interests do you have with this whole Dams Scandal? What are You hiding from Kenyans? How did you know the amount of money lost in the entire projects?
These are some of the questions that have come to DP William Ruto’s way ever since the Dams scandal was unearthed and his constant stand on the same.
According to the DCI, 21 billion was lost in the construction of the Kimwarer and Arror Dams, figures DP William Ruto has so far termed as exaggerated. According to the DP, 7 billion and not 21 billion has been lost.
After days of being questioned, he has now come out to set the record straight on why he has interests in the Construction of the Dams.
Ruto has said that togethetr with President Kenyatta, they planned to construct 57 dams across the Country in the next 5 years and as such he has to have major interests on the same.
He has also added that being the Deputy President of Kenya, it would be reckless and sheer failure if he didn’t follow the numbers in Government projects.
“So, the question that I’m being asked is like a hyena asking a herdsman ‘what is your interest in your herd and why do you know the number of the livestock that you are keeping?” Ruto said.
