Vinicius was forced off the pitch on Tuesday after he attempted to break Ajax’s defence and score a goal which might have changed everything for our team. The youngster stretched himself to the absolute maximum but couldn’t finish the job, unfortunately.

Across Real Madrid’s last three games, 18-year-old Vinícius Júnior took more shots, completed more dribbles and played more key passes than any of his team-mates.

• 11 dribbles completed
• 7 key passes played

The Brazilian left the pitch in tears, not willing to leave his team for dead and dreading the fact he would miss the rest of the match sitting in the stands, helplessly watching Madrid get destroyed by the Dutch.
