Isco reveals what led to their defeat against Ajax

Real Madrid are in crisis – and a fresh report has shed some light on Isco’s situation after the club’s Champions League defeat to Ajax on Tuesday.

Real Madrid were dumped out of the Champions League by Ajax on Tuesday, with the Bernabeu emptying as their time as European champions drew to a close.

Los Blancos went into the game 2-1 up from the first leg but with pressure on after back-to-back defeats to Barcelona in La Liga and the Copa del Rey respectively.

Santiago Solari’s Real Madrid side were emphatically beaten by Ajax on home turf last night, with the Dutch side winning courtesy of goals from Hakim Ziyech, David Neres, Dusan Tadic and Lasse Schone.

Isco, meanwhile, did not even make the bench for the showdown.

The Spain international was nowhere to be seen last night as his side hurtled towards European elimination.

The midfielder has encountered many problems with Solari this season and now, Marca claim he was livid with the manager’s decision to leave him out.

The Spanish newspaper claims that Isco was already hurt at spending the majority of Saturday’s defeat to Barcelona stuck on the bench.

And, upon learning he would not make the squad for the Ajax showdown, the former Malaga star left Real’s training base in a car with an unknown destination.
