Huduma Namba registration to officially commence in April

Days after the government suspended the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) number, popularly known as Huduma Namba, registration, the exercise is set to commence.

Taking to social media, National Government Communication Centre (NGCC) set the date for the roll out of the 45-day exercise on April 2, 2019, from an earlier scheduled March 15.

The state also revealed that 50,000 youth had been hired to carry out the exercise and that they would pocket Kshs 1,500 every day for the entire period.

“The Government has set April 2, 2019 as the official day when the 45-day NIIMS mass registration exercise will commence countrywide”.

“50,000 youth, earning 1,500 daily, will be working with chiefs, their assistants & other Government officials to ensure all Kenyans are registered,” posted NGCC.

The Interior PS Karanja Kibicho  had earlier revealed that the government would then carry out a 3-month data cleansing exercise before taking a month long data harmonization process.
