With a monthly salary of 8 million shillings, Kenya Airways CEO Sebastian Mikosz is probably the highest paid CEO in Kenya. This is despite the fact that he is also probably the CEO that makes many loses on Kenya soil.

Sebastian joined KQ with a solemn promise that he would help transform the fortunes of the airline.

He has so far been unable to do that and alongside KQ Board Chairman Michael Joseph, they have been accused by the Kenya Aviation Workers Union of misusing their powers and being a burden to the National Carrier.

For Instance CEO Sebastian has so far cost Kenya Airways 135 Million in his salaries for the 18 months he has been at the helm.

There is however nothing worth smiling about at KQ despite the fact that the Polish International is making some really good money in salaries alone.

Sebastian is also being accused by the Kenya Aviation Workers Union through Secretary General Moss Ndiema of hiring unqualified personel to fill various positions at the airline simply because he has relations with them.

For Instance, he has been accused of elevating his girlfriend Angela Nderu to the position of head Strategy.

Angela is trained in the hospitality Industry yet is now behind KQ’s strategies. This might explain why latest strategies by Kenya Airways have bore no fruits.

To make matters worse, CEO Sebastian’s wife, Mrs. Magdalena, works with Delloite Kenya, a company tasked with auditing the books of Kenya Airways. This creates a conflict of interest and as such financial mess at KQ will always go unnoticed.

It is for the above that Sebastian Mikosz should step aside or face the sack as he has continued to make Kenya Airways a luaghing stock instead of helping revive it’s fortunes.
