JKIA strike

Workers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport have downed their tools and hundreds of passengers will miss scheduled flights today.

They brought down their instruments of work early today Wednesday because they are discontent with their bosses for a number of reasons.

First, the workers are unhappy for out of line staff contracting and pay.

Some passengers spent the night at the airport

Still, just like most Kenyans, the workers too are not happy about the proposed takeover by Kenya Airways.

A Rwanda Air Plane that was supposed to pick passengers left empty. No other plane has arrived at the airplane terminal since 3am.

Long lines have shaped at the air terminal’s doors, with certain sources telling journalists that a portion of the air terminal’s entrances had been shut.

Several travelers are stranded at the air terminal after their flights were deferred or rescheduled, with many taking to online networking to vent their dissatisfaction.
