PSG handed a major injury boost ahead of Manchester United clash

Ahead of their UEFA Champions League last 16 second-leg clash against Manchester United , PSG have been handed a major boost as Edison CavaniE returned to training on Tuesday.

The Uruguay international has not been involved in of any of the previous seven-match day squads having suffered a hip injury against Bordeaux at the start of February. Cavani is PSG’s all-time leading goal scorer and had already scored 17 times in 16 league appearances this season, with a further two strikes coming in the Champions League.

However, according to French outlet TF1, Cavani is unlikely to start against United, meaning Mbappe is likely to play through the middle, with Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler flanking the 20-year-old forward.
