A college professor has stunned many with his unusual kind gesture in a class setting.
A tutor at Morehouse College in Atlanta, USA, Professor Nathan Alexander, offered to hold a student’s five-month-old daughter as he couldn’t find childcare.
After Wayne Hayer explained his situation, Professor Alexander strapped little Assata to his chest as he taught the algebra class.
“My professor Nathan Alexander said ‘I’ll hold her so you can take good notes!'” a student shared in a tweet that has since been retweeted more than 78,000 times.
Morehouse College President David Thomas also weighed in on the matter, tweeting “this is about love and commitment. Loving our students and being committed to removing any barrier to their pursuit of excellence.”
“She was really behaved and even started to fall asleep at the end. We had a bottle ready on standby, if needed. We enjoyed having her energy in class,” said Alexander.
