The likes of Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata will miss the second leg against the French champions with United already 2-0 down.

There’s no pressure on Solskjaer or his players to deliver a result but many are still hopeful of an incredible comeback being on the cards.

The Red Devils also have to keep an eye on an arguably even more important fixture that’s coming up with Arsenal just on the horizon as the race for a top four spot heats up.

The experience for the youngsters in particular will be fantastic and one they’ll unlikely get to go through once again for a while longer.

The likes of Marcus Rashford, Andreas Pereira and Scott McTominay are almost certain to start but the rest of them will most likely spend their time on the bench.

It is perhaps too early to blood a few of them but should Manchester United quickly find the tie escaping from them, it might be wiser to substitute the more key players off the pitch given the fixture against the Gunners.
