Man Utd makes a surprise announcement on tickets and Old Trafford upgrade

The Red Devils supporters have been behind successful trials in recent years to improve the atmosphere at the Theatre of Dreams.

United made the announcement as they confirmed season ticket prizes had been frozen for the eighth consecutive season.

The dedicated section will be in the first tier in the Stretford End and come into play for the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

“The support from our fans and the atmosphere they generate is incredible, so we’re delighted to be freezing Season Ticket prices once again in recognition of that,” Group Managing Director Richard Arnold said.

It remains to be seen who will be in charge at Old Trafford next season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in pole position to land the job on a permanent basis.

United have lost just once under the Norwegian – against PSG in the Champions League – since he replaced Jose Mourinho in December.
