Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka has said the Kamba nation will fully back Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
Munyaka said the region’s electorate will massively support Ruto owing to his development oriented leadership.
He said Ruto is the best suited candidate to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 General Elections.
“As Kambas, we will stand with you when time comes because you have shown and demonstrated what true leadership is,” Munyaka said.
Munyaka spoke at St. Martin Kithwii Catholic church in Kangundo, Machakos County on Sunday.
He stated that the DP has demonstrated people oriented leadership.
The legislator said that Ruto’s presidential bid is unstoppable.
He asked the DP to ignore critics who are tainting his political ambition.
Munyaka said Kenyans have confidence in the Deputy President and will overwhelmingly vote for him in the next polls.
The Jubilee MP urged DP Ruto to continue with his development agenda in Ukambani among other parts of the country.
He said the forces being planted to stop Ruto’s 2022 presidential ambition will not succeed.
“We know the people who are out to frustrate the DP, but they will to succeed,” he added.
A section of politicians allied to Ruto are crying foul over what they term as plans to block his 2022 presidential bid.
They allege that the war against graft is targeting the Deputy President.
Investigating agencies probing graft scandals have, however, rubbished claims that they are targeting particular individuals in the war against graft.
