Paris Saint Germain defender Dani Alves claims that Thomas Tuchel has brought ‘pleasure’ back to the Ligue 1 giants.
The former Barcelona ace played under Emery for a season before the Spaniard joined the North London side. Despite Emery leading PSG to a domestic treble last year, reports claimed that Alves and his Brazilian teammate Neymar were unhappy with Emery’s leadership.
“He’s incredible, here I’ve coincided with a German with a Brazilian soul. The atmosphere he’s created here, he’s brought the pleasure back into coming to work,” said Alves when asked about the impact of Tuchel at PSG.
“And you approach things with a big smile and energy. Energy levels are high and he reminds me of Pep [Guardiola], he really does in this sense. He makes things really smooth, he stubborn but he does things his own way. He’s a great man manager and dressing room manager and team manager.”
“This gives us a better chance of doing well this season. I have to take my hat off not just to him but his staff, too. ‘Because every day is really a pleasure to work with them. ‘I have to pay them back for what they have done.”
