Forbes magazine today admitted her to the prestigious nine zeroes scale club all thanks to her Kylie Cosmetics. According to the magazine, “Kylie Cosmetics’ revenue climbed 9% last year to an estimated $360 million.
With that kind of growth, and even using a conservative multiple from the booming makeup industry, Forbes estimates 21 year old Jenner’s company is worth at least $900 million.” Hold your horses for one minute. Just in case you thought its her family fortune, you are wrong, well according to the Magazine. The money is all hers in addition to the cash she has pulled in through various endorsements and businesses which takes her straight to the Billionaires club.
Kylie, who admits, “It’s the power of social media,” is the youngest daughter of Caitlyn Jenner and Kris Jenner. Marketing of her product is done largely on social media where Jenner commands a following of about 26 million followers on twitter, 22 million likes on her facebook page and another 128 million followers on Instagram. Whenever she launches her products or does a review, she largely uses her social media platforms.
It’s crazy to think that this girl made her debut into the celebrity world when she was barely 10 in the Family Tv reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians and now is all grown up and a billionaire.
The self made billionaire tag is bound to cause uproar. Last year Forbes put her on the cover of their magazine, with the headline, “America’s Women Billionaires” which caused a storm in some quarters with many questioning if she really is a self made Billionaire.
Many critics says she rode on her famous family name to the Billionaires club. Well, the girl has arrived into the prestigious club and it seems, she will be resting easy here for a long time to come.
