Unai Emery will only be able to sign Yannick Carrasco this summer if the Belgian agrees to take a major pay cut, reports say.
Carrasco was a transfer target for Arsenal in January, but the Gunners could not come to terms with Dalian Yifang over a loan deal. Barcelona forward Denis Suarez sealed a late move to the Emirates in the last window after Arsenal failed in several loan bids for players.
However, the Daily Express claim Emery is still desperate to sign Carrasco and is eager to resurrect a permanent deal in the summer. Carrasco is thought to be unhappy in China after swapping Spain’s La Liga for the Chinese Super League a year ago. The 25-year-old’s move to China stunned many football fans and Arsenal are eager to bring him back to Europe.
