Former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata looks to have regained his form after bagging a brace in Atletico Madrid’s 2-0 win over Real Sociedad over the weekend and noted that he is very happy after a bad time in the past.A

Morata joined Chelsea back in 2017 from Real Madrid for a then club record fee of £60 million for the London Club.  Gonzalo Higuain’s January arrival on loan from Juventus spelled the end for Morata in west London and he returned to his home country after signing an 18-month loan deal with Atletico. Morata has now scored in two consecutive games for Atleti after his goal against Villareal last week and a brace over the weekend against Sociedad.

Speaking to Goal after the win over Sociedad, Morata revealed that he is very happy after a bad time in the past, “Most of the time, forwards are judged by their goals but, above all, I have adapted well and quickly. I am very happy because I have had a bad time in the past.”
