Rashford Passes a Beautiful Message to Team-Mate Tahith Chong

Manchester United may be in the middle of an injury crisis, but two players have made Premier League debuts in the last two games.

After James Garner was a late substitute at Crystal Palace on Wednesday, winger Tahith Chong came on for the final minute of the 3-2 win over Southampton.

United fans are rightly exciting about Chong’s potential after a string of fine performances for the U23s and an impressive pre-season with the first team in the USA last summer.

The 19-year-old made his full debut in the FA Cup win over Reading earlier this year, playing 29 minutes, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now handed him his Premier League debut.

Chong replaced Marcus Rashford in the fifth minute of injury time, and Rashford took to Twitter to praise his teammate.

Rashford tweeted a picture of the pair at full time, with the caption: “Making moves in the prem now @TahithC”

With forwards Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial, and Juan Mata out against Southampton, and Alexis Sanchez limping off in the second half against the Saints, Chong may be handed his Champions League debut at PSG this week.

Chong, along with Angel Gomes and Garner, has been part of the first team picture for some time, and Solskjaer would not think twice about throwing him in if needed.
