Chelsea Star Jorginho Sends Bold Message To Supporters

The Italian has endured a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge since arriving from Napoli last summer.

Jorginho was the heartbeat of Maurizio Sarri’s side that pushed Juventus all the way in Serie A last season.

But the £57million man has really struggled to have the same kind of impact for Chelsea

Jorginho has found it difficult to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League and does not receive as much time on the ball as he did in Italy.

The midfielder has even received boos in recent weeks but is more determined than ever to win over his critics and prove his worth.

“Of course, in this day and age everything reaches you quickly [asked if he heard the boos],” he told ESPN Brazil.

“With technology everything is very fast.

“The important thing is to know how to deal with the situation. I remained calm because I know this is what fans are like, if you’re not winning they will complain and they have the right to do so.

“But I always stay focused and keep working. And I’m sure I’ll be able to show what I’m capable of and make them change their minds.”

Jorginho is seen as crucial to ‘Sarri-ball’ and the style of football that proved so effective in Naples.

The early signs were encouraging, it took Chelsea until late November to face their first defeat of the season which came at Tottenham.

Jorginho even scored on his league debut at Huddersfield.

He also broke the record for the most passes in a Premier League game in a draw at West Ham.

But since then, things have only got worse and the pressure has cranked up on Sarri.

Perhaps Jorginho’s lowest moment in a Chelsea shirt came at Wembley last Sunday in the Carabao Cup final.

The Italian attempted another stutter penalty, having scored one versus Spurs in the semi-final.

This time though his attempt was saved by Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.
