Ugandans turn to private browsing as internet tax takes effect

Ugandans have vowed to turn virtual private network (VPN) programming on their cell phones which enables them to overcome the newly introduced internet taxes

They would then be able to criticize Museveni by posting with hashtags, for example, #ThisTaxMustGo and #NoToSocialMediaTax.

Private browsing makes it hard for the government to locate the IP address. Internet Protocol address is a special code that shows the geographical location of an intenet user.
