“The Kepa situation now is closed. Kepa is our first goalkeeper but we are very happy for Willy [Caballero] because now we know very well he is able to play in a very difficult match. I am sure in of the two next matches, Kepa will be on the pitch. Have I decided on a goalkeeper for Sunday? No, not yet. I want to see the last two pieces of training.” Sarri said.

Sarri added that he was sorry to see his fellow Italian coach Claudio Ranieri sacked by Fulham adding that it has been a difficult time for him at the side that could face the chop from the top tier at the end of the season.

“It was a very difficult situation from the beginning. It’s not easy to be able to do the same job in two different situations. He was unlucky. The situation now is difficult, but I think they also have opportunities for saving themselves. We have to play a very difficult match – a derby. We need a very good performance in this match. Are Fulham more dangerous now? Maybe. Usually, when there is a change of the coach, there is a reaction. Then it is very difficult for us to prepare the match because we don’t know the new system, the new ideas.” Sarri said.

There have been rumours that Chelsea might also sack him after a string of poor performances earlier but the rumours have gone down after their 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspurs.
