Everybody knows that Priyanka Chopra is a very good friend to Meghan Markle’s however the TV star did not attend the Dutchess’ baby shower that happened at the Mark Hotel. Sources say that Priyanka still has a ‘beef’ with Meghan as she didn’t attend her lavish Indian nuptials to the 26-year-old Jonas Brothers’ singer in December.
The pair’s friendship is reportedly ‘on the rocks’ and Priyanka wants Meghan to apologize. An insider told Page Six : “Their friendship is over unless Meghan apologises.
“Priyanka is a huge international star with a tremendous social media following. She is probably more famous worldwide than Meghan is.
“She feels Meghan didn’t respect her, and didn’t respect their friendship.”
Former Suits star Meghan, 37, is understood to not have attended because of her pregnancy and busy schedule of royal engagements.
Priyanka was among the guests to Meghan’s wedding to Harry in May.
It was previously said she was “bogged down” in LA with meetings about a book she is writing so couldn’t attend the baby shower.
However sources claim the real reason is that Meghan hurt her feelings by not coming to her wedding.
The baby bash was held at the five-star Mark Hotel and attended by celeb guests, including close pals Amal Clooney and Serena Williams.
A spokesperson for Priyanka declined to comment, however someone close to her rubbished the rumours.
They said: “There are no issues between the two women.
“They are friends, and anything you’re being told otherwise is inaccurate and untrue.”
Last year, Priyanka praised Meghan to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia and said: “She’s an icon, truly, that girls can look up to, that women can look up to. She’s normal, she’s sweet, she’s nice.”
