Meet Kenya PS who got sacked twice within a year

President Uhuru Kenyatta has sacked Broadcasting and Telecommunications Principal Secretary, Fatuma Hirsi, for the second time within a one-year period.

In Executive Order No.3 of 2019 dated March 1, 2019, President Kenyatta noted that Ms Hirsi is to vacate office.

“In accordance with Article 155 of the Constitution, the appointment of Fatuma Hirsi, as Principal Secretary, has been vacated,” the letter stated.

The outgoing PS had been sacked in June, 2018, in a letter sent by Head of Public Service, Joseph Kinyua.

“Your employment contract has been terminated forthwith.

“You will be paid your salary up to June 30, which will be your last working day,” read part of the letter.

However, when the president re-organized the cabinet on July 13, 2018, some of the PSs were reappointed, Hirsi being one of them.
