A Bungoma MCA ousted over alleges of getting too Cosy with the Governor

Bungoma MCAs have signed a petition that has seen the Majority Leader in Bungoma County Senate and MCA of Maeni Ward Florence Fulano ousted on Thursday.

The MCAs claim that the MCA was having a close and cosy relationship with Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati which led her to abandon her duties and execute poor leadership skills.

She was kicked out after 26 out of 36 MCAs signed and presented the petition to have her ousted to Speaker Edward Situma.

Fulano’s tribulations began when she attended a function with Deputy Governor Ngome Kibanani. The function was against the ward reps decisions to skip all Executive functions.

The MCAs threatened to oust the Speaker and complained that he was protecting the executive.

“The next victim should be the speaker if he doesn’t change his ways of getting directives from the Executive, we will be left with no option but to send him away,” noted an MCA.

The troubles between Wangamati and the MCAs ensued after two of their own were arrested for inciting traders to boycott County Government projects.

Traders were dispersed from the market and the two county legislators arrested.

“We will not be intimidated nor cowed even if Wangamati arrests us for defending the people,” complained Bungoma Deputy Speaker Simiyu Wamusai during the raid.
