Maraga Dares Grand Mulla

This morning, Chief Justice David Maraga responded to Ahmednasir Abdullahi’s claims that some judges of the Supreme Court received bribed in order to influence the results of the Wajir Gubernatorial petition results.

While giving his speech at the State of The Judiciary address, Maraga challenged Senior Counsel Abdullahi to file a petition to the Judiciary Service Commission [JSC] if he had evidence of the alleged corruption.

I wish to thank the Hon CJ David Maraga for this…my client’s petition to the JSC is almost ready. I want reassure all Kenyans of goodwill and the Hon CJ in particular that my client will file the petition…and the evidence is OVERWHELMING..@dkmaraga @lawsocietykenya @omwanza pic.twitter.com/ojOlm435m7— Ahmednasir Abdullahi SC (@ahmednasirlaw) February 28, 2019

The lawyer has been pressuring the Chief Justice on both social and mainstream media for the last few weeks and it looks like Maraga finally bowed down to the pressure.

Will Ahmednasir file the petition? We wait and see.
