Susan Wangari Kamaru, wife to the late Kenya benga musician, Joseph Kamaru has passed on at her daughter’s home at Rongai, Nairobi. She was 78 years old and has died four months after her husband’s death.
She has been suffering from high blood pressure among other illnesses which made her weak and succumbed to cardiac arrest. Her daughter has ben taking care of her at her home.
Her family claims to have spent a fortune in trying to take care of their ailing mother over the past months. Wangari’s last public appearance was during the burial of her famous husband at Heho village in Kigumo sub-county, which was attended by among other dignitaries President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP William Ruto, and leader of Opposition Raila Odinga.
Mr Kamaru passed on at the MP Shah Hospital where he was receiving treatment after developing breathing difficulties. The family has already finalize burial plans and Kamaru’s widow will be laid to rest on Friday next to her husband.
