DPP, DCI meet Kayole residents, address criminality and police brutality

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji and his counterpart Director Criminal of Investigations George Kinoti on Thursday met Kayole residents in a community dialogue over matters social justice.

The meeting was themed: Strengthening Police and Community relations to address Criminality and Police Brutality.

The forum involved the two key stakeholders, among other government agencies that engaged the residents in issues surrounding extrajudicial killings in the area.

Kayole is one of the areas most affected by cases of extrajudicial executions in Nairobi. Victims of such cases were also involved in the dialogue.

The aim of the community dialogue is to come to a shared understanding of the issues and to develop sustainable solutions.
