Wang Liyong, Ye Dalu and Peng Hongwen were on Thursday charged with robbing Samuel Mbugua Njoroge of a motor vehicle worth Ksh.2.1 million and Ksh.5 million in cash.
Appearing before Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot, arraigned and charged with two counts of robbery with violence.
They pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The defense counsel pleaded with the court to release the accused on bond, but it was opposed by the prosecution.
They were detained in police custody pending a ruling on their release on Friday, March 1, 2019.
