The Churchill female comedian, teacher Wanjiku is up for something new. She has organized a comedy show which will be hosted by female comedians at KICC. She says that the show will be happening twice an year and planning the next to have international female comedians.
The main aim of the show is to talk to men and treat the. Just after the conference, men need to be appreciated once in a while and this is the opportunity for women to make their men happy.
The other reason why she came up with an all-female lineup is so that the women can be comfortable doing a one hour plus solo show. Teacher Wanjiku is the only female comedian who has done that but she wants to create that space for others.
She says; ” It’s not the first time. second time and I will be doing this but as after this one we will be doing it twice a year and the next one will have east African female comedians. this new show has fresh new talented girls to showcase and we just want to encourage other women to be comedians. It’s its a boys day out. Women come treat your men. We are welcoming the men back after the men’s conference.
