John Terry Sends Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi’s Pleas to Sarri

Chelsea legend John Terry believes Maurizio Sarri MUST give Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi their chance to shine.

Both England youngsters have been used sparingly this campaign – much to the anger of many fans at Stamford Bridge.

The lack of game-time even prompted Hudson-Odoi to hand in a transfer request which was rejected by the club.

Bayern Munich are believed to have had a £30million bid for the promising winger turned down.

And after the Blues came a cropper against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday Terry is hoping Sarri switches things up.

Speaking to the Chelsea website, the current Aston Villa coach said: “Chelsea can move forward. They’re a great side and individually they have brilliance in the team. That’s throughout the whole side.

“We can talk about the two centre-halves being incredible today. You look at the boys in front of them – Kante, Barkley, the three players up front. It’s a great team to build around. Go and build upon it.

“They’ve found it difficult this year because Man City have been excellent, Liverpool have been superb as well.

“But we’ve got people like Hudson-Odoi and it’s important to keep him. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, is he ready? Let’s find out.

“If we’re not going to win the league then let’s give him a chance in the league. Let’s blood the younger players and see what they’ve got.”

But whether Sarri will even be given the chance to mix things up is another question in itself.

It is understood he is still on the brink of the axe and could go if his side lose at home to London rivals Tottenham tomorrow night.
