It is for this reason that Kenya joined the Amisom forces to help fight them.
The United Nations too has not been left behind in the fight as it continues to help protect innocent Somali People.
As part of backing the UN-backed government in Somalia, the United States of a America launched an air strike in Central Somalia and in the process killed 35 Al Shabaab Militants.
In a statement, U.S. Africa Command said the strike took place on Sunday near Beledweyne, Hiran Region in Somalia.
“This air strike targeted armed al Shabaab militants as they were transitioning between locations in a rural area,” the statement added.
