After transferring the entire staff of Shauri moyo Police station following a public outcry on corruption, the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinet as made more changes that have seen 322 OCPDs countrywide in a reshuffle that is meant to take effect immediately.
In the letter that shook Shauri Moyo Police station few days ago, the officers were required to report to their new stations by February 27 and their bosses required to file back reports on their arrivals and departures. “Release the officers to report to their new stations by February 27, 2019. Submit casualty returns on departure and arrival,” DIG Mbugua directed.
The letter further demanded an explanation of why six officers who had been transferred from the station did not leave. “Their commanders are hereby required to submit a written explanation as to why the officers have since not been released,” the police boss ordered.
